The victim, identified as Udaya Lenka from Kusuma Mukherjee village under Simulia police station, was brutally beaten by a group of around 10 people over a pre-existing land dispute. A video of the brutal attack has gone viral on social media, showing the attackers showing no mercy to the elderly man. Despite a formal complaint at the Simulia police station, the victim alleged that no action was taken, forcing him to seek help from the Balasore SP. Udaya Lenka has sustained severe injuries to his hands and legs.
