Mayurbhanj Flood Alert: 22 Blocks Affected, Heavy Rain Submerges 45 Villages | Argus News ମୟୂରଭଞ୍ଜ ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ଗତ କାଲିଠାରୁ ଜାରି ରହିଥିବା ବର୍ଷା ଯୋଗୁଁ ଜନଜୀବନ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅସ୍ତ୍ୟବ୍ୟସ୍ତ ହୋଇପଡ଼ିଛି । ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ପ୍ରାୟ ୨୨ଟି ବ୍ଲକ ବନ୍ୟା ଓ ଜଳବନ୍ଦୀ ସମସ୍ୟାର ସମ୍ମୁଖୀନ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ମୋଟ ୨୮ଟି ଗ୍ରାମପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ୪୫ଟି ଗାଁରେ ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ପଶିଯାଇଛି। ବାରିପଦା ପୌରପାଳିକାର ୬ଟି ୱାର୍ଡରେ କୃତ୍ରିମ ଜଳବନ୍ଦୀ ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଛି। ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ମୋଟ ୧,୭୩୫ ଜଣ ଲୋକ ଏହି ବର୍ଷା ଓ ଜଳବନ୍ଦି ଦ୍ୱାରା ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଯୋଗୁଁ ଘରଦ୍ୱାର ଭାଙ୍ଗିଯାଇଛି। Incessant rainfall has caused severe flooding in Mayurbhanj district, affecting 22 blocks and leaving residents stranded. Over 45 villages across 28 gram panchayats are currently under water, with heavy damage reported to houses and property. Baripada municipality is facing an artificial flood-like situation in 6 wards, impacting more than 1,735 people. The district administration has launched a large-scale relief and rescue operation on a war footing. 10 shelters and 14 free kitchen centers have been set up to provide food and safety to the victims.
