Following the opening of 12 gates of the Hirakud Reservoir, approximately 8 lakh cusecs of water are currently flowing through the river system. Districts including Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapara have been asked to take all necessary precautionary measures. People living in low-lying areas are advised to remain vigilant.
