Road accidents in the capital city of Bhubaneswar have become a major cause of concern for the Commissionerate Police. Despite various awareness campaigns like National Road Safety Month, the number of mishaps is on a steady rise. In the last six months alone, Bhubaneswar has witnessed 500 accidents resulting in 130 fatalities and 371 serious injuries.
