100-Foot Breach In Jalaka River Embankment: Basta On High Alert As Water Level Crosses Danger Mark A massive 100-foot breach has occurred in the Jalaka river embankment near Darada in Basta, Balasore district. The drainage department has initiated emergency repair work on a war footing. With heavy rainfall in the upper catchment areas, the Jalaka river is flowing above the danger mark at Mathani, recorded at 6.56m against the danger level of 6.50m.
